My ambition to combine rehab with S&C for optimal performance

I grew up between Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the Central Coast, always loving sports and being active. I got my hands into every sport readily available, if a team needed players I’d throw my hand up to volunteer. My main sports were soccer, touch football and netball, if I wasn’t doing one of the many sports I’d managed to wrangle myself into, you’d have found me at the beach surfing or volunteer lifesaving.

Playing sports and being competitive in nature progressed into always trying to figure out how I could be better, trying to understand what my body was doing and what it needed to perform optimally. This curiosity made it an easy choice to advance towards a pathway in coaching and a degree in Chiropractic, which I am still completing. Learning the intricacies of human movement, performance, musculoskeletal injuries and rehab has been a passion, being able to make that a career where I can forever continue to learn and make a difference to people’s lives is incredible.

Combining Strength and Conditioning with my Chiropractic degree has been a long-term goal, I aim to be able to assist and oversee individuals from both ends of the spectrum, pain and rehab right through to optimal performance. Giving athletes and clients the confidence and tools to be able to manage all high and low stages they will encounter throughout their athletic endeavours so that they can always move forward.

I want to see athletes that perform for as long as they can and to realise they are capable of more than they may have first anticipated

I love to work with anyone who is willing and inquisitive, I especially enjoy working with female and youth athletes. They have so much to gain from strength and conditioning training and tend not to get as much exposure in formative years. When they do, the changes in their confidence and outcomes is incredible to see.

I believe in providing the attention and detail seen in high level performance to all clients, it is something I will always be working to improve so that clients have the greatest experience throughout their training journey. I want the athletes and clients that I work with to be able to engage in the activities that bring them joy for as long as they can and to realise they are capable of more than they may have first anticipated. Building resilient, strong, and tenacious individuals, not just in the gym or their sport, but also in life.
